When Stars Align shoot halted
'WHEN STARS ALIGN' CAN'T BEAT THE HEAT

Several weeks of location scouting, storyboarding, crewing up, and casting for the September 15/16 shoot of the demo reel for "When Stars Align" in California's Santa Clarita Valley have been delayed by an emergency heat advisory.

The trucks were ready for loading when the call came in from the fire department that temperatures set to blast past 110 degrees Fahrenheit would make fire risks too great.

With safety costs rising faster than the thermometer and the children's comfort a serious concern, producer/director Adrian Paul decided to postpone filming until October. We will bring you more news on this gripping Civil War love story as it happens!

Battleground Zero
FILMBLIPS PREPARES 'BATTLE GROUND ZERO' SIZZLE REEL,
WHILE WRITER TAKES A 'NOVEL' APPROACH TO EXPANDING THE STORY

Filmblips has recently finished a sizzle reel for Battle Ground Zero, an action/adventure film and television series that crosses the classic morality of Lord of the Flies with the terror and timeliness of 28 Days Later.

"It has taken us way too long to produce this concept piece," explained Adrian Paul. "But we had to get it right. We hired a very talented graphic novel artist named John Watkiss to do the artwork, and he has produced some riveting images that we're confident will help us take this project to the next level."

Writer Viktor Gaal has also turned his original Battle Ground Zero screenplay into a book. "I wanted the novel to be as authentic as possible," Gaal said. "So I placed the events in the places I know best in England. It has layers upon layers; a lot of amazing ideas came out of the process, and I greatly improved upon the story. If I have to compare, it's The Walking Dead infused with The Matrix and Fight Club."

FILMBLIPS SIGNS DEAL WITH LEGACY FILMWORKS TO BRING 'FIVE' TO THE LIGHT OF DAY

Filmblips has signed a deal with Canadian production company Legacy Filmworks to produce the feature film Five. "We are currently in final negotiations and hope to have the final piece of financing in place in the next couple of months," Filmblips CEO Zoltan Furedi said.

"Five has undergone several changes, including a new director (yet to be announced), location changes, and a fresh rewrite of the original script." Adrian Paul added, "We are always working at improving scripts until we get to the shooting stage. This one has some cliché moments and characters that need adjusting to make them unique."

More news on this project is coming soon.
